On Tap for this weekend…

I plan on brewing my second batch of the year, and my first all-grain batch in a few years.  I’ve put together what I think will be a decent little recipe for an Oatmeal Stout.  I tried making on once before but I tried it as an extract-based recipe, and you just can’t do extract with stouts I’m thinking, especially with a stout like an Oatmeal Stout, which has a lot of adjunct grains, requiring a full mash to convert all that starch into sweet fermentable sugar.

Also, will be bottling the brown ale I brewed 4 weeks ago.  I’m looking forward to tasting it, as I suspect it might be my best brown ale yet–and I’ve brewed many a damn fine brown ale in my time.

 

Also I have 5 bottles of Dark Lord 2008 and they’re calling to me.  I know I should really save them but I CAN’T.
